About the Program
Host Families
We need host families in or near the Saratoga Springs area to host 1-2 students for the 2 weeks they are here, typically the last 2 weeks of July. Stipends are paid at the end of the program to help cover expenses.
Educational Experience
Students will attend classes 8-9 of the days they are here, the other days are free for activities with their families. Lunches for the students will be provided, and we will take students on various field trips.
Community Connection
Get to know other host families and make new friends! We have Welcome and Farewell Parties at the beginning/end of the program, and families often plan activities with other families, all while developing life-long friendships.

Our family has hosted students for more than 12 years - we love this program and our kids look forward to it every summer - It has become a favorite summer tradition for our family!

Hosting Japanese students was such an awesome adventure!
We had a blast introducing them to all sorts of fun, from s'mores under the stars, to glow-in-the-dark frisbee, to horseback riding, to cheering at a baseball game, and so much more! Our family will definitely do it again!

After 5 years of hosting these amazing students from Japan, we will be hosting for many more years to come. In the short 2 weeks they are here, we create wonderful and meaningful memories and friendships.
It is now a favorite summer tradition that we look forward to as a family!
